The item is described as fitting Ford "F" series trucks from 1987 to 1996. I have a 1997 and took a gamble that the part would fit. Once delivered, I checked and yes it appears that it will fit nicely. It made no sense to me that Ford would do a body redesign on the last year prior to a major design coming is 1999. Ford did no produce any 1998 "F" series trucks.
