Best Clutch kit for my 2003 Honda Accord I’ve ever purchased from EBay; period!!!
I’ve replaced my factory clutch several times in the past 3 years from purchased kits from eBay, they all were “supposedly” high performance clutch kits with lightened flywheels; but truth be told they were all cheap Chinese knock offs of clutchmasters, ACT, centerforce etc..the pressure plates wore out, disc pads wore out, and flywheels out of balance, the last one wouldn’t even line up correctly with the Flywheel dowels but I had the transmission out and I had to replace it to get to work that following Monday in April 2017 I’ve been a automotive technician for a long long time and I have a factory 2003 Honda Accord 2.4 four cylinder vtec 5speed manual with no engine modifications none what so ever it barely has 140hp and the vtec isn’t even hi perf vtec it’s a Low emissions economy vtec ... I only accelerate hard getting on turnpike, interstate and bypass on ramps for goodness sake!! And occasionally when I’m running late for work.. this Exedy clutch and USA made 10lb chromoly flywheel is of the highest quality, balanced and lines up perfect with supplied flywheel dowels. 1200 break in miles before I revved this one over 4000k rpms and it holds perfect, no clutch shutter, medium pedal pressure and it doesn’t want to prematurely grab half clutched; and the best part?!? The flywheel didn’t warp like other cheap 10-12lb lightened flywheels that’s probably made from recycled junk steel from shipping containers...this flywheel that came with Exedy kit was actually high grade steel, I had it checked by a machine shop professional that has experience in metallurgy , because I got screwed before and wanted to make sure it was good... and it is very good. The kit came with everything I needed, throwout bearing and pilot bearing and the best part is all the parts except flywheel was Japanese made from OEM Honda parts suppliers.. The flywheel would even meet oem quality specs they were so tight, even the offset from pressure plate to clutch disc spacing is spot on, unlike the Chinese cloned clutches. And.. it was well balanced too.. I’m telling ya, if you have a Honda Accord, civic, Acura Rsx, Tsx etc that uses exedy clutches and you need a clutch?! Buy this kind! you won’t go wrong with this seller.. I’m telling ya. I’ve screwed myself 2 prior times by being cheap and being fooled that the other “off brands” were just as good...Boy was I wrong!! Fool me once, Shame on the seller; fool me twice: shame on me for even buying a clutch kit for a Honda that wasn’t even made in Japan for a Japanese car and just going by the sellers specs.. they sound good?! but they won’t hold up.. even a cheap clutch kit from your local discount auto parts store will last longer than the other off brand Chinese clutches on eBay. Don’t waste your time, buy Exedy from this seller.... and do it right the first time without going through what I did...
