It might be the VW
If you have ever replaced your VW Jetta bulb you might understand this. The adapter by itself fits well into the original headlight socket. Getting the bulb aligned with the adapter and locking it in place is challenging. I am still not convinced it is installed correctly. The light is day time white but it doesn't seem to light up as far in front of the car as the original OEM bulbs. To be fair, I am still not sure I have the bulb and adapter installed properly, nor am I sure if the "filament" is oriented properly. Both these could potentially increase forward visibility, or may have no impact at all. During daylight driving I have been told I am much more visible with the lights on compared to the OEM bulbs For anyone wondering, I did not need any additional adapters to ... Not a direct fit
The instructions were poor, and had to search in the internet for more. I asked for a VW Polo, and they said it was a direct fit, but it is a generic product. The adaptors didn´t work, and the wire connections need to be cut and changed, ifor the proper 3 plugs type. I did not go that far and decided not to use them. going to return them.

Poor fit
The only reason I bought this particular item was because it came with adapter clips that my vw jetta needs which in itself is a complete joke on Volkswagens part. Needless to say the adapter clips are extremely flimsy and does not hold the bulb tight to the headlight assembly.

Exactly as described
These LED bulbs are as described, coming with the clip needed to install in my VW was a great perc. Downfall to the clips is that they are a little loose and do require some messing with to get mounted and not have to worry about the bulb being loose or falling out.
