Check the parts over
After checking the alignment gauges/washers, I found the one directly on the adjustment bolt to be 180°out of position. The fix: remove the washer, with the hole in it, and rotate it 180° so the lateral links lined up correctly to be adjusted correctly. This may be a one in a million mistake but make sure to check the direction of the adjustment marks/holes align correctly!
