Looks great, needs to be trimmed
Upon installing the part, I realized the tabs have to be trimmed a bit in order to work. I ended up using glue to get it to hold in place properly.

Proper install requires airbag replacement
There are no instructions provided because in order to properly replace the original, you’re supposed to replace the air bag. I had to cut the metal bendy pieces and hot glue it into place. It’s fine now, but I wish I knew this before ripping of the original. I had to replace my wife’s because she used a harsh cleaner on it and the logo started to peel off. An overlay would have been a better option in this case. Aside from that, it’s a quality part. There are no instructions provided because in order to properly replace the original, you’re supposed to replace the air bag. I had to cut the metal bendy pieces and hot glue it into place. Takes patience
If you have never removed a steering wheel emblem from a Subaru it is difficult, requires patience, and basically ruins it. I discovered this the hard way. I was wanting to remove it to paint it and ending up destroying it to get it out. So I was forced to buy a new one. I would suggest watching youtube videos to see how it's done since the 4 prongs need to be manipulted and bent inward while installing. They come out of the box straight and need to be bent in a certain way using needle nose pliers. Patience is key here I can't stress it enough. The aluminum is very thin and it would be easy to ruin the replacement. Perfection.
Excellent fit in my tribeca 07. Before and after pics. My kids destroyed my old one and picked out all of the resin so I cut off the old one with a Dremel, cut off the new tabs with a Dremel and bonded the new one in with silicone. Kids no longer allowed in the front seat. It's just too dangerous to remove the airbag to replace this item.
