Considering my 2013 bmw 328i f30 didn’t come with Apple CarPlay, this was the most affordable and most efficient way of adding it. Overall, I’m satisfied with the product. Here and there the app will take longer than desired to actually read and connect to my phone, but I suppose things could be a lot worse. It’s a small trade off for all of the value and convenience that the CarPlay offers.

    Works better than I hoped

    The installation is not for the faint hearted. It requires dismantling a fair amount of the dash. I bought for a X6M, and after looking at the instructions(not initially included, had to ask), it was a simple install, but I am used to ripping cars apart and installing aftermarket stuff. The cable run was the hardest part of the install. But, once installed, it works almost perfectly. Highly recommended if you want this and your car is compatible. Put Apple on the internal screen. 😄
