    Good Fix!

    This certainly beats the reproductions brass floats. Mine had immediately filled with gas due to a leak. This design seems like it will float forever. The only issue I had was a slightly loose fit in the wire bracket that holds the float. It stills held it fine and doesn't rattle or anything, but just something to be aware of.

    This one won't develop cracks.

    I've had two brass floats develop cracks on two different sending units. I bought this to replace it. I dropped it into a pail of water and it almost bounced back out, it's so buoyant. I'm sure this one will outlast me.
