This valve is designed to replace the stock POA valve that constantly has the compressor running, converting it to a cycling system that GM switched to in 1977 and continues to use to this day. This is a new billet design that is very close to the original appearance of the stock POA valve. Simply install in place of the original POA valve exactly as the original (including all mounting straps & clamps), connect the suction hose, install the thermostat and splice the thermostat wiring anywhere in the power wire leading to the compressor. Comes with the correct charge ports for either R12 or 134a.”
