Doesn't fit a cj 7 like claimed . I adjusted hinges and shimmed strikers still doesn't latch correctly and comes open during turns .

    Nice doors. Fairly easy install

    1979 CJ-7 Base. Good heavy doors. They fit the opening very well. the latching mechanism is the main concern. Not sure why they did not use the existing plate. It is a bulky mechanism but is still out of the way. I could not find anyway to make the latching plate provided work on my Jeep. Instead I used the provided bolts. They are strong enough, but do not come with a large nut to attach them. Fortunately, I have lots of extra hardware in the garage. Otherwise the nuts are about 49 cents each at ACE. The setup pictures was what worked well for me. I will likely build a heavier plate to attach this with, but for now it is holding. I like the original CJ mirrors, so I did not use the mirrors provided.
