I m using this part to rule out Mass flow air sensor issue on a 2000 528 i BMW with the m52 engine. I installed this unit after having fault codes. I ve driven about 200 mi. No fault codes. Not ready to have the parade just yet, but promising. My plan was to use this inexpensive option to see if I needed the more expensive OEM mass flow air sensor. I m watching fuel consumption very closely to see if there is any difference in miles per gallon. It is only been two weeks but no fault codes.
