The rating is misleading. At 3KVA, the input current is 13.64A RMS @ 220V Input as indicated in the specification. Fuses provided are only 10A, 250V.
The 18AWG magnet wire overheats at the rating of 3KVA when attempting to draw 12.5A @ 250V.
Input power lead that is provided has an 120V IEC Type A plug, although an international adaptor was provided, someone can plug to a 120V source. It would be better not to provide this plug for safety reasons.
Rating should be reduced.
