    Good touch up stick for a tough color to fix

    Soul Red is a tough color to touch up as it is a multiple coat process from the factory. This is a close 2nd and it covered up a small scratch ok. May consider a clearcoat paint to finish the repair. Takes some practice to learn how the paint comes out, so practice on some scratch cardboard or something similar before you try to touch up the paint.

    Shame on Mazda

    I purchased this touch-up pen to correct some minor rock chip damage to the front of my 2016 Mazda 6, painted in 41V-Soul Red. The problem is this product is only the base color. I discovered that Soul Red is a tri-color paint requiring three different type of paint. A base coat, mid-color, and clear coat. Just using the base coat leaves a gold/pink shade that doesn't look anything like red.

    Doesn't match CX-5

    As others have mentioned and I didn't believe, this does not match the 2016+ CX-5 Soul Red paint well at all even though it has the same factory paint code. It is too orange. I followed the instructions and even re-applied and the color is no better. Really disappointing for a factory genuine product.

    Not an exact match…thinking it needs buffing and clear coat after touching up…better than what it was obviously but u can see the difference in color….paint code matches vehicle

    Worst attempt at a color match ever!!!

    I had read reviews about Mazda's attempt to match the Soul Red color touch-up paint but I figured it must be corrected by now. Man was I wrong. This is not even close!! Someone needs to do their homework and fix this stuff. It is total garbage.
