Seller understood there was problem and allowed for returns or a discount if I fixed the issues. I added a nylon washer between the mirror and the mount that allowed the bolt to tighten up and hold the mirror in place even on rough roads. I also scuffed and repainted the set that had paint peeling issues. I recommend the manufacturer also sand the surface before painting.
