The strut bar has increased rigidity of the rear of my 2003 IS300. A much needed and a long overdue upgrade that once you experience it, you won't be able to live without one. Installation was as easy as drinking water, it fit perfectly and falled right in place. Going over road imperfections and cornering has never been this stable. I have both front and rear top strut bar brace that I highly recommend even if you have stock suspention this strut brace will let your car still be factory compfortable but add rigidity and a more stable ride that I promise once you get, you will not regret. I now drive around with a huge grin.The strut bar has increased rigidity of the rear of my 2003 IS300. I've heard that these hit your hood. I just installed mine and it doesn't touch at all. You do have to refigure 2 little boxes mounted on the top of the strut but you just have to use 1 bolt instead of 2. No big deal. I would highly recommend these

Stiffs up the rear pretty well
No issues install easy cut with a small knife and once I installed in I noticed it kept the rear straight when I launched it so that’s a good thing plus in high speeds love it

Defintiely stiffens up the chassis
Stiffens up the chassis. Dont really notice driving around town but when I hit large bumps/uneven bumps/drops on the freeway I could tell right away that it tightened up the chassis. No more “floaty” or “bouncing” feel. I think it reduced some body roll as well, not 100% sure on that. Hood closes but it touches the underside of the hood and throws off the body lines between the hood/fenders a bit. Not a big deal. Clears the engine cover as well which is what I wanted.
