Eventually worked as advertised
The forks on my 2014 GSX-R750 need the 33 mm (small) end of this tool. I'm not sure if the tool or the fork is out of spec but the 33mm hex would not fit. Almost but no cigar. I took a file and chamfered the corners a bit but still no joy. I ended up having to file a couple of thou off the flats, basically removing the gold color, before it dropped right in. Good fork tool for Showa BPF's
Can't go wrong with this tool for removing and installing the fork cartridge on Showa's BPF's. Tip for the job: If you're having an issue compressing down the spring while turning in this nut, then place a 1' long piece of 1" diameter pipe over the cartridge adjuster tubes and press down with that and turn the nut at the same time.
