    would prefer the right filter that goes with my bike.

    I guess I'm going to be the odd man out. I have a 2003 r1. As I was changing the oil, I thought the filters looked a little different and when I checked the part number sure enough they are different. The 5QH-13440-61 is for 2008 -2021 r1. The 03 uses ***-*****-70. The 61 is a tiny bit shorter and with the exhaust right there may prove to be problematic. The 61 is a tiny bit bigger too. See as I ride my bike every day I don't have much of choose but to try it. I'll report back if it leaks.
