Not 9W LED's like stated in the description
The header description read 9W which leads one to believe that the devices consume 9 watts of power and in turn would produce light output that would be equivalent to the 9 watts of LED light. Nope, not true. The light output of these device have an output of what looks to be equivalent to a 7-watt incandescent light bulb. You know, the old night light bulbs. A 12 volt 9-watt LED light should consume 0.75 amps of power. Power (in watts) = Voltage (in volts) X Current (in amps). These devices only consume 0.036 amps at 12 volts, so doing the math 12 X 0.036 = 0.432 watts. (and, yes, I have been an Electrical Engineer for 40+ years. (So, I know a little bit about power and LED's. These would be OK if you weren't looking for a ton of light output, nice packaging and the like. Just not as ... They look to be made OK and should hold up OK in the outdoors, but I didn't run any testing. Definity not good as fog lights but would work good as accent lighting. I recommend changing the Ad. description and remove the 9W or add "light output equivalent to a 9W incandescent bulb". (my 2 cents).
