I gave it a positive rating. HOWEVER. For what I paid for it I expected it to be packaged in a factory box. Instead, it was shipped barebones with a shipping label thrown on it. It was filthy and had spots where paint had been worn off. It will need to be painted to protect it from rust. Picture shows the condition it was received.

It works Sort of.
This alternator has a major problem on install. The power lead post on the rear of alternator can touch the metal ground of the block components. In my case it was the water pipe that leads to heater core from the block. I was able to tie the metal tube back to the EGR tube. This meant putting a hose clamp to bend the tubes togather. Of course one does not want to do this as Mechanical method and leaves much worry that the heater tube could break its seal or a hole rubbed into it. The tech support department did answer calls. The remedy of re clocking the back of alternator means complete disassembly of a new so call warrantied item. The excuse that it applied to many different vehicles did not work for me. I have been a mechanic for over thirty years , parts simply do not arrive like this ... This alternator has a major problem on install. Would not recommend it even though it is one of a few suppliers offering this amperage for these vehicles.
