Custom fit and complete - low mould quality
The dash kit looks complete, with head unit cage, brackets and dash surround. The color is good match with the factory dash. However, there are four dimples (little dents) along the lower, front edge that likely occurred when the plastic cooled, after being pulled from the mould. Will take a little filler, sanding and paint to remove.

Cheap, effective way to upgrade Porsche head unit
I used this kit to upgrade my 987.1 2007 Cayman S's head unit to something more modern, and this kit was super easy to work with. My complaints are pretty minor; I didn't receive the foam pads pictured (although I didn't find them necessary), the mounting cage is definitely cheap but seems to hold up fine, and the dash bezel is kind of a loose fit and not-quite the same color as the factory grey. All that is excusable though, since the real star of the show here is the fiber optic interface. It comes pre-wired so it really is plug and play with your head unit of choice. I have full, good quality sound coming out of all my speakers (even my rear ones) with this kit, even though it only has a front left and front right output. Good, but not quite perfect
This was used to install a double din head unit in a 2006 Boxster S. Other similar 911/Cayman vehicles use the same dash parts. The final result looks great, but there is no mechanical connection between the cage and the car, or the cage and the face plate. Its held in with a little bit of pressure and the snapping parts just barely keep the alignment correct, but I can imagine with bumps and over time the parts could shift and come undone, or the face plate might pop out if I push on the top. That said you could probably rig up some set screws on the side, or use tape, glue, fasteners, etc. to make the connection between the car and face plate more rigid. In two weeks of driving with it is had worked find and not popped off on its own. It does look really nice and like it was a factory ... While my Sony media player has a slightly larger gap around the edge than in needs to, that is an issue with the Sony, not the Installation Kit. If I had another car that needed a head unit swap I would purchase another kit, and if you don't mind having to adjust lots of stuff yourself to make it work, then you will be happy with the finished results. Other reviews claimed there were cosmetic issues with dimples from the mold. I did not have any cosmetic issues with mine.
