    Consider this

    Obviously I was interested in saving money when I ordered this. What I didn't realize was after installing the electronics the device would be needed to taken to someone to rekey it to work with my vehicle. After studying the internals of my original fob and the replacement, I was able to determine what changes to the replacement were needed to be able to use the original key part as well as the electronics to come up with a key fob that would operate my vehicle. Since this one is my spare and it operates my vehicle, I'm satisfied with my choice and results. Took a bit of doing but it can be done and saved a good deal of money.

    It worked perfectly. Just put the circuit board from your old one in the new one, plus tap the pin out that holds you car key and put your car key onto the new case.

    Feels cheap but it does the job

    A cost-effective alternative to replace a key fob with functional electronics. Materials feel much cheaper than the original fob, but you get what you pay for. You will still need to go to the dealership to get the key cut, which cost me $33 for a total investment of under $40, because, unfortunately, the parts beyond the electronics are not compatible.
