When I got this system I thought it would be great in comparison to the 3ds xl. I was wrong, the hinges are loose the gamecard slot is awkwardly placed, certain games take multiple inserts to read, and worst of all the system has worse battery life and loading to is new 3ds counterparts.

This has the improved performance, particularly frame rate, of the new 3DS XL but in a slightly smaller package and without 3D. I like the 3D but I got this for my son who never cared about it. The Pokeball design is very attractive, the device feels good in hand, and it works great. I haven't beat it up but it feels very sturdy and durable. 100% recommend for anyone who doesn't care about the 3D.

I’ve had mind for about a month and use to play omega ruby on a daily basis. The design of this 2DS XL is much better in person. Well built and if you don’t mind the lack of 3D (which isn’t very good anyways as have a 3ds) then this is a no brainer to buy. Only thing that I have negative to say is that the stylus is very small. For kids it is great but for adults will feel small unless you have small hands. If you are looking and debating whether to buy or not. Buy! You will not regret it.
