Iloved this book! any one with sisters can relate to this book it touches on so many levels. I was engrossed in the book, family is what a person is all about and to define a family and to reconcile a family is beautiful. We should all learn from are past but to go the extra mile and reach out to our family members that did not want to but in truth the hurt was so bad it was pride that prevented reaching out. I think it is beautiful what a family can learn when we all try because it is the neuclear family that is falling apart . Time to reach out and not push away.
Absolutely delightful story by a marvelous story teller. I read part one - borrowed from a friend - so couldn't wait to read part two, Her Daughter's Dream. I was glad to find it on eBay at a good price. It arrived quickly, well packaged, excellent condition and I immediately stacked it in my rapidly declining 'ready to read' pile.
Our book club of about 12 rated this at an 8 out of ten. We read the first one and wanted to know what the mother did later on. First part of this was better than the later part.

Anyone who loves the work of Francine Rivers (and those of you who are not yet fortunate enough to have read her work) will love this book. I do recommend reading "Her Mother's Hope" first, as this is a continuation of that story. It is especially a wonderful story for Mothers and Daughters, as it explores the loving, yet often difficult relationship between Mothers and Daughters spanning six generations. I loved this book and highly recommend it! - Patty
It was great to read the conclusion to this four generational saga!
