For a "basic" phone (not a smart phone), this is a decent unit. It runs BrewMP for the operating system, and it comes with Opera Mini 6. I was able to easily use it with Verizon Prepaid, and I was able to get my Gmail, Facebook, and use other major websites. There is no touch screen, and the OS is not very extensible (hard to add anything to it.) It lacks a "File Manager" for browsing your files, so it only finds photos and music if they're in the right places. Overall, 4 starts for a solid, easy to use phone.

Like the size and sound quality. Clear graphics and screen is easy to use. It's great for those who only want to talk and text. One fo the few remaining with a slider keyboard. Don't like the 3 key unlock feature. Don't use it for data so no comment on that.

I had one like it, and for some reason, the screen cracked when I took it out of my pocket, so I replaced it. The sliding part can be a little off center, so if you open it to use the keyboard, use both thumbs on each side. It meets some military standard for moisture and shock resistance. I have a problem using touch screen phones, so this phone is a better choice for me. It is a nice upgrade from a flip phone. I think that there is a longer life battery available, which might be a good idea if you need to be away from a charger for a while. Because of the sliding feature, you can't get a shock case, and if you get a holster, the buttons on the side can get pushed when you take it out. In my car, I keep it in a small paper cup that is in the ash tray or cup holder. Works great.
Long battery life, good form factor - fits in any pocket well. If texting and calling are all you need, this is a perfect phone. Wish they still made them, or phones like them. A superior product to the LG Cosmos, which I seemed to drop more (slippery. this one's more grippy). Hoping it lasts a few years.

This 'phone is not sleek and gorgeous and cutting-edge fashion. BUT.....like the old commercial for Timex watches, it can stand up to the abuse that's dealt out day to day on a ranch. I've dropped its predecessor (exact same model) from horseback onto rock, and picked it up to find nary a scratch on it. I've accidentally left it outside; I've gotten it wet (damp) from unexpected rain showers; I've sweated against it in my shirt or pants pocket; etc. And it kept on working just fine. The only complaint I would have is the sticking "pqrs" key and the "mno" key. A lot of times when I'm trying to type out a text message, those particular keys get stuck (on this new phone as well as the old one I had), and there is no hurrying them--when they're good and ready, they will finally pop the letters onto the screen, and I can go on to the next letter. My husband has had three phones just like this one (lost the first two), and the same goes for all of those, as well. That's a minor nuisance, though, and more like a "caveat emptor". Just don't be surprised when the letter takes a long time to go ahead and type on the screen. Otherwise, these phones are awesome! They are rugged and built to last!Read full review
