Very large display digits in a compact handlebar ir stem mount. Simple to program! Easy installation. I do not like the fork-mounted larger-than-wired type wireless sender unit because it has to house battery and electronics and positioning has to be just right. But once magnet and sender are closely aligned it's all right. I loved my old Cat Eye , but its snap fit of computer into stem mount wore out. This was a fine replacement.

Product is just okay. Impossible to see when it gets darker, thought it would be backlit so that you could glance down and see it. Pairing with phone was not successful so i cant upload ride progress to the app. For the money it should be better or more user friendly. not very satisfied with it. Dave

Simple and effective wireless cycling computer. Large display with easy to follow setup and installation instructions. Very satisfied with Cateye as I have owned several of their units going back a dozen years and keep coming back to the brand for its simplicity, quality and overall great value.

I have owned many Cateye cycling computers over the years, including the much smaller micro and mini versions. They essentially have the same functions, and set up in the same way, so if your are familiar with them, and like they way they operate, then these should serve you well. The smaller versions were somewhat "buggy" in that they sometimes died without warning, sometimes reset, sometimes malfunctioned--where, in all cases, all prior history was lost. The biggest difference for the Padrone is of course its size--as big as most real bike computers, so great for easy legibility. I bought two at first, and right off the bat, one malfunctioned, like the smaller versions--not a good sign. I got a replacement easily and have since added a couple more to the stable (I prefer to have a separate one on each bike). They're great as long as you don't bump or knock them while in use--if you do, they may reset, losing the current ride data--that is the only issue I have with them. Also, a tad pricey for a very limited series of functions--but, if you need or like the big screen, this is the best there is without going to a full "real" bike computer set up. I don't need that, so this one is great. Four Stars says "better than expected" which isn't true--it is as good as expected.Read full review
