The printer was advertised as new but was not. An expended print cartridge was left in the printer during shipment. With that said, the printer is in good shape and after cleaning the print heads in excess of fifteen times, the printer is working very well. I am totally satisfied with the quality of the prints and the operation of the printer. So over all, I got an excellent deal on an out of production printer! These are some of the best and compact photo printers ever made by Epson. The bottom line is, and the reason for my five-star rating, that it works like new!

I like the epson brand I have had one before. It worked well and printed good pictures and the ink is not very costly. It is very easy to use and just a nice printer. There is nothing I dislike about this printer.I think this printer works very well compared to other printers. I have far less problems than I have had with my Kodak printer . It gets a 10 from me for over all good printer with good quality printing.
These are very nice little printers for 4x6 prints - the ink is archive grade... and the printer really works great.... Very Nice quality... Everybody loves the pictures...Easy to set up and use, too...

I purchased this Epson Picturemate for a Christmas gift for my daughter. She has two small children and loves taking pictures. I have had an Epson Picturemate for a number of years and I love, love, love it! I don't have to take pictures to a photo center and wait for them to be developed. And there is no worry that you will not get "your" pictures back, that happened to me once. I took a once-in- a-lifetime trip overseas and the photo department lost my pictures. This Picturemate prints a thumbnail version of the pictures on your memory card. You choose which ones to print or delete. You print. That's it. I'm old school, I want my pictures in an album, not on a computer or CD. Although, the CD is great backup. I highly recommend the Epson Picturemate.
The printer does what it is intended to do. The quality of the prints are pretty good (4 by 6 inch). Two thing must be kept in mind. Non-use (letting it sit for a long time) will kill it. The ink dries/congeals and clogs it and it quits working. I left my old one unused for a year and it stopped functioning. The other thing is that it uses print cartridges pretty quickly. If you get it, use it (at least occasionally) and it will serve your purposes well. I hope that is helpful. TB
