Good construction, works great for small birds. We set the tension on "medium", so two to three small birds can feed on each side. Bought a second one also. Both came in good packaging, and set up easily. Recommend lubricating the mechanism occasonally, and where the upper bar contacts the feeder so it does not stick.

This is an 'ok' bird feeder - it's a tad SMALL. Good things - the hinged roof, the pressure-springed landing bar. Not so good - the supplied hanger is weak......the poles that came with it were easily overcome by raccoons - putting the feeder on the ground.........very weak steel, and SHORT in length........I put it on my own pole and then greased it to keep the raccoons off, plus I installed a rotating pipe over my pole to keep squirrels from climbing it.....in spite of the grease.......

I have only had this up a few days but the squirrels seem to be stumped, so far. I haven't seen as many birds coming to this feeder yet. The chickadees came right to it but the titmice are nowhere to be found. I hope they'll come around. I think this is a well made and very sturdy feeder that works on keeping the squirrels out. I will put it on the metal post that came with it when the ground warms up. Considering the cost, I hope I'll recoup my $$ in saving seed feeding the squirrels, who can go through 2 liters a day!

Not as sturdy/heavy as I had hoped. Easy to use. Birds came right to it. Will probably get another after I make sure it is durabke

I like how easy it is to fill. You need to buy the bracket for mounting to a pole (about $12). Very easy to install.
