The pictures used in this Paul Newman DVD set are beautiful, specially the booklet. I know I will spend many hours playing the discs and reading the text plus showing the set to other collector friends.

Would be great if the disks weren't scratched to the point it doesn't play all the way thru. The packaging was less than optimal as the disks didn't stay in there holders causing the scratches. Piss poor design.

A terrible collection to invest in. Although the content is great, the distributor decided not to secure any of the dvd's and instead place them in cardboard sleeves that scratch the discs. When my set arrived, all discs were loose in the box and heavily scratched with half defective and skipping when played. I would suggest NOT buying NEW but buying USED so discs can be verified before purchase. As mentioned, the content of the set is great. Hemingway's Adventures of a Young Man and Quintet are difficult to find and individually all 13 movies will run you more than this sets cost. So buyer beware and search for a perfect set.
A diverse combination of his movies, BUT I thought there were 17 different movies, 3 disks are behind the scenes, or trailers. I am sure it would sell faster, if Cool Hand Luke, and Cat on a hot tin roof were in this set!!
