Upgraded and maxed out the ram and populated it with 4 4tb WD Red's in a raid 5. Have Plex running on it with great results. Is a bit loud when being accessed but not so loud it needs to be in a closet. With the Dual NIC used i can max out the transfer rates over my network. Will be looking to get another one filling with 8Tb or bigger drives.

The product works as expected. The speed is dependant upon the setup chosen. I chose to be secure and take advantage of the ability to recover from a failed disk. This leads to two limitations: i get the memory limit of 3 of the 4 disks and i accept a slower speed. Once setup it works as advertised by WD.
