For the price, you can't beat these cameras. They are probably in the top 5 of their price range. The main drawback I have is, they continually try to get you to sign up for monthly subscription of $9.99/mth. The only way you can do 2 way talk is to have the subscription. Nothing else of value really for the monthly subscription. But, if you're ok with just a basic, stylish, cheap camera that works well, but no 2 way talk or storage, this camera is for you. I decided I'm ok without it and now have 4 of these in my house. Connects to Alexa as well.

As a longtime user of security systems and cameras, I am happy to say that Canary does an incredible job. At the time of this post the software and firmware has matured enough that the hardware is simple to use, with a few caveats. While I did have problems with my wifi connection due to the complexity of my particular setup, I was able to connect my Canary directly to my wifi repeater and have had no issues since. Control from Amazon Echo, Wink, and the Canary app has been exceptionally simple. The $49 per year for extended recording capabilities easily saves me money vs my other camera solutions, and the bonus alarms and auto away sensing plus incredible night vision and 1080P recording makes a big difference. Because the subscription plan is per address, not per device (unlike Nest Cam), the costs are significantly lower the more Canary's I decide to buy (up to 4). I really like that the camera can be set to privacy mode so that no recording takes place, as well as non-notification recording happens when in the standby mode. A quick look at the Canary tells me if it is armed, disarmed, or in privacy mode from across the room, but is generally not necessary since when my phone is home, the Canary disarms. I can also say "Alexa, trigger Arm Canary." to manually arm the canary with the Amazon Echo when my phone is not in reach. It also has sensors such as air quality and noise which connect and add additional features to my Wink hardware. Bonus! All in all a great value.Read full review

Easy to use but takes time to install. It is good bang for the buck and serves its purpose. The quality of the image could be better but it still is manageable and are able to see what’s on camera. Wish that it would load the images faster as I switch from or camera view to another.

Purchased two of these units and discovered that getting them "Activated" only required purchasing the membership from Canary. BTW, Canary only accepts a CC to activate them and you can have up to four of these at no additional charge at same location. Set up is pretty easy. Download the app on your phone and just follow the instructions. 5 minutes later your connected. Plenty of YouTube videos on "how to". Just be advised that only 2.4ghz Wi-Fi can be used or Ethernet. This is really a great unit for the money! Enjoy!
