Well, who doesn't like killer trio rock and roll? Triumph is really great at it and this CD showcases thier explosive over the top approach to rock! This is the complete performance rec'd 15 ips on multi-track reel and the transfer to digital is done very well; the sound quality is better than stages in my opinion. There are some nice features on this release like "American Girls" and a cover of Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mtn. Way". You get everything that a good rock show should have acutal guitar solos, drum solos and kick but full attack on the music. Triumph's confidence really shows on this performance. I can't recommend this enough for Triumph fans or if you enjoy live performances, this one is a keeper and worth getting if you're new to Triumph. - funbebopRead full review
The sound quality and energy level on this recording is very high. I'm a fan of the King Biscuit Flower Hour releases, I think that they are amongst the best of the best of all live recordings from this time period (early 1980's). Triumph was at their peak during this time and most of the songs that made them a great (but for some reason often overlooked) band are on this live release. If you like the band and are curious about how they sounded during a show this is definately the best cd to buy.
I LOVE THE BAND TRIUMPH, I GREW UP LISTENING TO THEM,I SAW THEM THREE TIMES IN THE EARLY EIGHTIE 81 WITH MOUNTAIN,82 WITH FOGHAT,83 WITH YNGWIE MALMSTEEN,ALL TIMES AT SYRACUSE WAR MEMORIAL.NEW YORK.RICK EMMETT,IS A PHENOMINAL GUITARIST,GILL MOORE,WAS NOT ONLY,A KILLER DRUMMER ONE OF BEST .HE COULD SING LIKE A MOTHER F-----R.AND LETS NOT FORGET MIKE LEVINE,THE HEART AND SOUL OF BASS LINE IN ALL THERE KILLER MUSIC.GOD I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM ONE MORE TIME.
One of the best live concerts on CD. This one makes you feel like you were there !
