This is the way they used to make music back when my biggest concerns were who would buy for me and how much wood I can find on the beach at night for my bonfire. Listening to this incredible disc transports me back to Yirrel Beach on the North Shore of MA with the smell of salt and burning wood in my nostrils and the grittiness of snad in my Chuck T's. For those of you who never lived near the beach, this album defines 80's heavy metal (not hair metal) with super heavy rhythm riding and fast strumming as necessary, all wrapped up in a blues blanket right down to the cover of Glad All Over. They sing about fast cars, loose women and mideival shit like a metal band should. Buy this CD, then hunt down the "From the Vault" comp that I think came out on Megaforce Records for another classic track. You will be hooked! Not meant to be played at low volumes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Read full review
I never heard much about this band in their 1980's heyday. They just kind of slipped under the radar for me. That all changed when Mark Tornillo was a guest on VH1 Classics 'That Metal Show' as the new lead vocalist for Accept. In my opinion Accept's newest album Blood Of The Nations is the best Metal album of at least the last decade. I buy a lot of music and it is that good. So, I had the need to backtrack and check out Mark's former band. The 3 host's of That Metal Show gave honorable mention to TT Quick's Metal of Honor album as a great underrated metal classic. I could not agree with them more. Superb true blue American 1980's Power Metal with Mark Tornillo's powerful vocals and David Dipietro's awesome chunky, riffy and at times speedy guitar work. This album is a must for anybodys Hard Rock / Metal collection. Enjoy my friends.Read full review
Great CD, underrated metal band, never got there do. Ep was AWESOME! Wish "victims" was releaed, hope they get back together, say them once, with Great White, blew off the stage! Title track is a classic!
Definately one of the most "under the radar" metal bands of all time. Not super heavy, but very diverse and talented. Dave DiPietro is a smoking guitarist who was a major influence on Zakk Wylde. He has even filled in for Dave live in concert. Mark Tornillo has the quintessential metal voice. Very loud and a great range. If you haven't heard this whole album and love 80's rock/metal, do yourself a HUGE favor and get this cd!
I grew up in the 80's & loved the music from that period. This is top-notch hard rock from that era!! I finally can put away my vinyl copy...
