Imagine Sass Jordan joining The Black Crowes. That's what this album is like. By far the best tune on it is "Put the Blame On Me" but the whole album rocks just right. We may never know why this band only did only one album but my guess is that it was poorly promoted or that the label pushed them to the side in favor of crap that teeny hoppers like. It came out on the early '90's so it had to compete with the rap and grunge of the day, which is far more forgettable than Mother Station. Buy this if you like rock, blues, and soul. You won't be disappointed!
When The Mother Station first came out, I ate this album up!! I have probably scratched about 3 copies of this CD. It is always in my favorites!! If you dig the Black Crowes,Stones, Faces, Humble Pie Kravitz etc, then you will love The Mother Station. One of America's most overlooked bands thanks to all the Crap bands of the "grunge" scene.
Great ROCK w/ some R & B !!!!!!!!!
