A very solid toe tapping heartfelt country blues rock double cd effort from this legendary band. Excellent musicianship, fine tunes, and good lyrics. A few of the stand out songs on Flying Again are 'Wind And Rain', You Left The Water Running, 'Sweet Desert Childhood', 'Bon Soir Blues', and 'River Road' with cuts like 'Why Baby Why', 'Building Fires' and 'Dim Lights, ...' not far behind. A really fine album. The second album seems a bit more sedate even tho it continues with the heartfelt truth of the first. Some of the standouts on Airborne are 'Waiting For Love To Begin', 'Walk On The Water', 'Bordertown', 'Shes A Sailor' and, even tho i am not a believer, 'Jesus Broke The Wild Horse' a particularly beautiful performance. Two of the original Burritos are here on Flying Again with Sneaky Pete Kleinow and Chris Etheridge and they are joined by Gib Guilbeau, Gene Parsons, and Joel Scott Hill. A great band. Skip Battin replaces Etheridge for Airborne and the quality music continues. Highly recommended for everyone who likes good music from the era. Four stars +Read full review
