Robert Cox and Kendall Brady started playing music together in the summer of 2003 while attending BYU-Idaho. Both played the acoustic guitar and there began playing and writing songs together. They performed multiple times for crowds ranging anywhere from 25 to 5000 people and recorded a couple of demo CD's with some local studios. Rob graduated with his degree in communication and currently works as a manager in the American Cancer Society where every day he saves lives... kind of. He is a native of California, enjoys fishing, his jeep, his dog Lucy, reading, and politics. Kendall graduated in psychology and hates it when people ask him if he is 'analyzing them'. After school he went home to Oregon for a year but then moved to California in 2008 to work in a marketing position but really he just missed the music and wanted to 'rock' again. He enjoys skiing, rock climbing, plants, and debating topics on which he is less-informed. Rob and Kendall often get asked why they don't have a real band name. 'We're not a band' says Kendall, 'we're more like an acoustic duo, like simon and garfunkel, or sony and cher'. 'I agree' says Rob, 'minus the Cher'. This has been their stand for years, but with the release of a new full length CD, they decided to bring back their band name from college, 'Waiting for Monday.' This name came about when they decided not to play certain kinds of music on Sunday, but when midnight hit... The music began. Hence, they were 'Waiting for Monday.'Their philosophy on music is: less is more, meaning that less, equals more (so deep). While that catchy phrase could be nothing more than a lame excuse for not finding a drummer and bass player and starting a real band the guys see it as an idea that will one day revolutionize the world of music making them legends in the rock and roll hall of fame as well as being able to write extremely long run-on sentences without anyone noticing. Actually Rob and Kendall have no serious ambitions for their music, only to play, record, have fun with it and see where it goes without it ever being too much work.
