For me, this is the last great album by the ABB. Although it's a collection of live recordings post Duane, a collection the members only came to appreciate decades later, it rocks from the introduction, which is really cool in and of itself. Some of the live recordings from winterland in 73 rival fillmore east. Dickey's heart seems to take control of his guitar, and it's a beautiful thing to listen to. Fans of Chuck Leavell will not be disappointed.

Many years ago a friend gave me album's LP version. I love Southern Rock and Roll and thus Wipe the Windows, Check the Oil, Dollar Gas is a favorite. Enjoy!

This is a great example of the ABB during the Brothers and Sisters period. The band is cooking throughout. Lamar Williams & Chuck Leavell are excellent additions. Fine interplay between Betts and Leavell on most cuts, Liz Reed really shines. It's worth the money. Solid from top to bottom.

Wipe the Windows is a nice change of pace from most of the early live shows. Seemed like they were trying a few different things in the wake of Duane's passing and these recordings highlight a slight departure from the hard-driving guitar-heavy Fillmore/American U early shows. They perform many of the staples of the early concerts but highlighted a little more of Gregg's keyboards than was their custom at that point, resulting is a slightly more jazz-influenced product. A softer version of this song here and a slower version of that song there - a nice CD to pop in to contract the Fillmore show. "Liz Reed" and "Come and Go Blues" sound great with the keyboard-heavy style, as does "Ain't Wasting Time No More." Certainly will not supplant Fillmore East as their best recording ever, but definitely a good addition to your collection.Read full review
