This is a great compilation of the music of Foghat! I almost didn't buy it because the producers of this decided (for whatever reason!) to cut a few of the songs short! The funky bass part near the end of Slow Ride? That, my friends, is sacrilege!!! They could have left off one of the weaker songs to make room, if that was the case! But they had to use the "single editions!" Even with that, (thanks to the good folks at "Rhino" Records) this is still a great, career-spanning collection of most of Foghat's best songs. What I remember most about Foghat is that they were a GREAT live band! Along with the J. Geils Band, they ruled the 1970's!!! If you just regulated yourself to "Foghat Live" or "Fool for the City," though, you'd be missing out on a lot of great music! This collection has some of the very best songs Foghat released all on one CD. Not only does this CD bring back alot of memories but provides me with hours of listening pleasure. If you are serious about your classic rock collection you won't want to leave this one out. Turn it up and kick back!!!

This cd is chock full of hits and "B side" material that was just as good as some of the biggies like "Fool For The City". Several of these songs can be heard in steady rotation on almost any classic rock FM radio station, and all of these songs are so good that you'll probably not get tired of hearing them on a weekly (or monthly) basis. If your into classic 70's rock, and love good guitar music w/ great vocals then you need this cd in your collection.
