To start things off, I can't believe ANYONE would give a bad review about this album. Without a doubt this is the best live album priest has done. Eventhough Tim Owens is the singer, he does an almost perfect imitation of Rob Halford, if not better. He has a younger ready-to-scream voice that Rob at his current age does not have. I doubt Rob could have done as well a job as Tim on this tour. If you like Judas Priest and you know most of their music, than you really should buy this live album. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE PRIEST METAL LIVE, it has a feel and sound to it that isn't the same as their album, but is great in its' own sense. When I bought this album I was a little skeptical as you probably are now, but let me assure you priest fans out there, that Tim Owens rocks and sounds alot like Rob. He does an excellent job on this album, and there is nothing to complain about, I GUARANTEE IT!!! If you just got done reading a bad review about this album, then that person either didn't listen to the album very long or he is just an ignorant prick! I hope you buy this album without any debate in your mind because buying this will be an awesome choice you won't regret. You will listen to this album 24/7 as I do now. Don't hesitate just buy it!!!Read full review
What more can I say about Judas Priest and the 98 Live Meltdown CD other then FANTASTIC! Tim Ripper Owens first live CD with Priest, simply his best live performance ever. He was a brilliant addition to Priest with the absence of Mr. Rob Halford. Ripper had some big shoes to fill and did a great job meeting our expectations. His version of Diamonds and Rust was simply brilliant, my only wish was they sang the entire song rather then half of it, but still, it gives me goose bumps every time I hear it. To anyone considering buying this CD and may have doubts about it because Rob isn't in lead must give it a try and believe me you will not regret it! Priest, Priest, Priest, Priest, Priest!!!
Really good mix of then-current material and classics. Band is in fine form here and Ripper sounds fantastic.

I think that this is a pretty good 2 CD set, After listening to it, I prefer the vocals of Rob Halford which was not on this album. I bought this for my husband and he agrees. Overall great add to the collection of Judas Priest items we have. The musica is good, but the lead vocals are jsut no the same without Halford.
I don't like because Rob Halford isn't in it; there s no way to find out before buying this
