I must say that Chimaira came back with another great record, despite the absence of Andols Herrick and his replacement Kevin Taley. I bought this album thinking it would be a lot heavier than their previous record 'The impossibility of reason', fortunately it was and i was smiling ear to ear for a week! However, despite the album sitting on top of my collection for a while, it was soon replaced by the impossibility of reason eventually. This is definately a record I would recommend not for the faint hearted, as it will leave scars afterwards, but it does not offer that much variation in terms of 'new material', but Taley's drum fills are something to look green in envy of, as well as Arnold's blistering lead. Go out and buy this record because you will only end up regreting it if you don't! See for yourself, and make sure you get the 2 disc special edition (contains live material of the immposibility of reason), happy listening.Read full review
