A lot of old school thrash metal bands have been returning for reunions in recent years and I was very excited when I heard that Nuclear Assault was one of them. I've been a fan for years so I bought my first copy of "Third World Genocide" on eBay. After the first spin I found the album to be very disappointing in all respects. "Glenn's Song" is the only decent track on the entire album and not surprising because Anthony Bramante made a guest appearance on this 1 song but the rest of the songs with the new lead guitarist is all pure nuclear waste. In addition, the sound production is extremely poor. The album was basically self-produced by Glenn & friends and probably while they were being entertained by their other friends like Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, and Johnny Walker. The sound is so horrible that you might think it was recorded on a portable boom box. Obviously the band wanted to keep maximum profits rather than invest some money to hire a professional like Andy Sneap to engineer the recording. Basically, "Third World Genocide" is so terrible that you would think the band was suffering from radiation sickness while they created this music. This album is a sad cash-in on the legacy of Nuclear Assault and it will be impossible to clean up the toxic waste the band smeared on themselves. We are fortunate that some bands came back to reunite such as Death Angel and Laaz Rockit...while some bands should never have come back and unfortunately, Nuclear Assault is one of them.Read full review
