I was recommended this type of humidifier from a local guitar tech in Colorado. It makes perfect sense that a humidifier should go inside the guitar, where the exposed unfinished wood is most susceptible. I love this thing! It's supposed to last for seven days before re-hydrating it. I'd say more like 5-6 days, but not a deal breaker. The grooves in the end piece fit perfectly between the 3rd and 4th strings.

It fits in the guitar nicely (Taylor 114e). It stays in place held by the strings. It's very easy to put in and take out. The only real problem I have with this device is squeezing out all the water after it has soaked. You can't just pinch it and slide your fingers down it because the rubber is not slippery. It makes it a challenge to squeeze the water out. It's a minor inconvenience.

Humidifies the instrument very quickly. Closed up a crack on my Bamboo ukulele. Haven't figured out how often it will have to be re-wetted, but I think once a week may be enough. When the heating system is on full blast will be the deciding factor for that.
