Has an unfinished look, but this knife is all business. Heavier than a "gentleman's knife," this is perfect for those unexpected times when you want to cut heavy canvas, leather, rope, or remove a good amount of wood. I have not dulled the factory edge yet, so I can't speak to how easily it can be sharpened. I also like the fact that the clip can be mounted in four different places, although I prefer to carry it with the clip removed. (The little screws holding the clip have thread locker on them. I twisted the bit on my Torx driver removing them!) LOVE the assisted opening feature. The frame lock mechanism seems to be very solid. Even though it is made in China, the knife seems to be well-made and should last for many years of use.

It's very easy to open. The flipper and speed-safe are great to use. Obviously the quality is not up to it's big brother (Zero Tolerance), but there is a wide difference in price. I understand that the torsion bar is a weak link as a few tend to break, but KAI will gladly send you a new one to replace. I personally don't like oxide finishes as they wear off easily. The black wash is a better choice if you are concerned about scratches. The critter does come very sharp!

A hollow grind drop point knife that feels just right in your hand. I researched the steel on this blade and it is not the greatest, therefore, it is more economical and great for an every day carry. Can sharpen easily and hold a shaving sharp edge for a while. I love flippers and this one flies out speed safe open assist that solid lockup that gets attention. Also has a pocket clip that has 4 options for tip up down left and right. If you don't mind a little extra weight, this is a great knife for EDC. The assisted opening deploys the blade swiftly and positively locks in. The blade is relatively stout and took a good edge when the time came to sharpen.I preferred relocating the pocket clip to a point up orientation .
