The quality of this stone is great. From "MY" experience: If you are trying to sharpen knives that are larger than 3 inch i would recommend going to an 8" stone. I would also recommend finishing with something finer than this if you want to achieve the best results. It is an outstanding addition to my sharpening setup. The quality is amazing and you can't go wrong. My only advise is to go with a 8 inch for most common knives.

These work really well, remember not to bear down on the blade, go light , never more than the weight of the knife, you can remove some of the diamond layer of you go too hard plus it doesn’t sharpen as well if you go too heavy.

It really puts a fine edge on knives, easy to touch them up after using. Great product.
