The Apple iPod Shuffle 2nd edition is the most simple, easy to use and stylish mp3 player today. It works like a charm, it can hold hours and hours of music, the button layout is easy to control even when your not looking at the unit, it can go for days and days on 1 charge, and it's great for workouts. I have owned 2 of these in different colors and now I'm ordering a 3rd because it's that good of a product. The only downfall is that you have to use iTunes to manage the music, and most people HATE iTunes. Other than that, it's a near perfect item. In fact is was SUCH a great product that those idiots at Apple decided to release a completely butchered 3rd edition iPod Shuffle and now people hate it so much that they are looking for these old 2nd edition iPods, but alas they are discontinued. Go Apple.... -_-Read full review
I had mentioned this iPod in the silver review for this iPod. This shuffle was given to me after an older silver one got washed. This iPod worked and was always there for when jogging, or doing something I could possibly be doing outside or something, train rides, etc. It was used a good amount of time by me 8 months, and about 2 years from the guy I got it from. The off switch ended up going wacky, it would say it was on when it was off, and had different light flashes. I ended up just getting rid of it as I was tired that it didn't work as well as it should, but it was good when I owned it, and possibly I'll get the new edition.
Its works great and nice because it's small and lightweight. It clips to your clothing without falling off. I tried the Chinese knock offs but they don't hold battery life like the IPods.

I like that it was so easy to use as I'm one of the last on Earth to get an iPod. I wanted it for running and it's perfect for that function. I like this version better than the new because it's easier to use "on the run" and I don't like that the controls are on the earpiece cords on the new version...if your earbuds go bad...you're out of luck.
Love everything about this.... for the tiny bit of machinery it is... But I must say after I updated my computer and itunes, I was not able to load any songs onto the device. I did a little investigating and found I had to download an ipod second generation thingy ma giggy in order to be able to add songs... but it works now.... Just beware that it is become an ancient piece of machinery... and the recharging dock can be broke and not easy to replace.
