The Martin D-35 guitar is a classic full bodied sounding guitar. The Martin Co. delivers with their standard series guitars, from the 28 series on up to the 45, attention to detail, excellent craftmanship, quality wood, you really can't do any better. My D-35 is a 2003 that has gotten better with age. At around 10 years the nitro finish starts to thin out on the body showing the grain in the woods, and that's when the guitar starts to sound even better, the full richness of the sound booms out when strummed firm or hard yet the soft finger picking tones have a beautiful ring to them. Can't go wrong with a Martin Standard Series guitar!

I have owned my Martin D-35 since I was twelve years old and no matter where I went or what may have happened in my life this guitar has been right there with me. The voice that rings true and clear from every note mastered is simply amazing. The neck is slimmer light "C" shape to give your hand great comfort to play for hours. The larger body gives it that warm yet loud bass bottom to the massive high tenor tone. If you are looking for a Martin keep in mind that the D-35 IS a powerhouse and will be your new best friend for life.

a beautiful vintage martin in astoundingly great condition-its aged body wood bears the patina of a fine vintage instrument and its sound resonates like the taste of a fine vintage french wine.When I started bidding on it,I didn't plan to spend as much as I did and as it had a 7-day return policy,I figured I could always return it if I had second thoughts.but after giving it a couple of strums,I said to myself,"This baby is mine!"(and that's before I put new strings on it) It is such a beautiful looking and sounding instrument that I fell like as a player ,I have stepped into a whole new realm,like going from black and white to color,or from two dementions to three or even more.It compliments my voice like no other guitar I have ever played.Now when I play I feel as if I am playing my own version of a Stadavarious violin.Now if I just don't leave it in a cab somewhere like the people who own Stadavarious' seem to do,I'll be okay!Read full review
I just wanted to be the first owner. I realize that this beautiful work of art will sound even better as it ages but it sounds so good now, that's a bit hard to fathom. I could and later... maybe will... have it set up by a pro but plays great right out of the box.
