Final Fantasy VI, one of the most popular installments in the Final Fantasy series, is rereleased for play on Sony PlayStation 1 game consoles. The PlayStation 1 version of the Final Fantasy video game is faithful to the original Super Nintendo version with a few upgrades and fixes. The plot and characters remain the same. Civilization has improved since the War of the Magi, but an ancient Esper threatens new conflict. With the fourteen classic players to choose from, gamers can role-play their way through the magic world, restoring peace and balance to the continent. This Final Fantasy video game comes with new video segments that establish a prologue and epilogue within the game’s narrative, and that were not included in the original release. A new bestiary and art gallery are also added. One of the only game play updates involves new effects for the beginning and end of battles. This version of Final Fantasy VI also allows the PlayStation console to save a player’s progress, and it accommodates one or two players at a time. Final Fantasy VI is rated T (Teen).
