This laptop is for my daughter. She uses it mainly for online school assignments and researching topics online. For school - it's great, it allows her to submit her work. She can watch videos and Skype with her teacher. For fun, she can use the HDMI cable to hook up to the apple tv box since we lost the remote at the moment.. Skype with her friends using the webcam. It has a SD card slot to upload photos from your digital camera. It has 3 USB ports. Slot for headphones. Depending how often it's used and what is running all at the same time depends on the battery life. It is on for the duration of the night, so battery life last longer than her about 6-8 hours. there is no operating system on the laptop. So you can't type a letter or do charts. You can print online work to an air printer. For online work, this laptop is great for it.. She can download apps and play games on it. This is a laptop, not a tablet, so the option of a touchscreen is not available. If you're looking for something with an operating system this is not for you. It does not have a cd slot. Great for surfing the web and works perfect with google drive. As a blog writer I spend a lot of time creating articles on line for a living. This computer is lightweight and boots up very fast. It is perfect for a wandering digital nomade who writes all day like I do. Please be aware that this does not run on windows so it is not something that you could put microsoft word or adobe photoshop on. If you are looking to quickly check emails, shop, apply for work, stream videos or check your social media this computer is perfect. I use mine every day.
