This pedal really improved the sound and tone of my valve amp and my solid-state amp as long as I ran it through the clean channel and did not add it to onboard existing distortion. There is a very slight hiss that can be heard mainly at low volume settings but nothing to worry about. Getting ready to order a slap back echo pedal next fo some Rockabilly sounds!

The overdrive is nice and smooth and makes the pedal worth the price. I would give it 5 stars but the tone control pretty poor. 7/8 of the tone knob travel does very little but the last 1/8 turn makes a huge difference in tone. Makes it hard to get the tone just right.
