On first opening the box I was impressed with not only the looks of the skate but with the quality of the material as well. The wheels are real urethane, pretty soft and go great on outdoor surfaces. The boot itself was more stiff than I was expecting as well. These are my first new pair of skates in 10 years and my old skates were very soft at the ankle so the break in of these skates was a little more than I was planning on. Also, if you have wide feet, this boot might be a little bit tight width wise. I normally wear a 7.5 so I ordered an 8. They fit really well...a bit long past my toe but I know if I would have gone down a size to a 7, they would have been too small. I had to tighten the trucks just a bit and also loosen the wheel nuts a little because although the wheels were rolling, a couple of them were really tight. One of the skates doesn’t quite track straight when it’s rolled across the ground on its own either so I’m fighting to keep my foot from going squirrley while I’m skating but it’s not bad. All in all for a $100 skate it’s a FANTASTIC buy. If I keep skating like I plan, in a year or so, I’ll be upgrading to a pair of Moxi Lolly’s, but these Candi Girl ones are really great. Definitely worth it to try them out.Read full review
