Just like with Season 1, I was forced to watch Torchwood on Netflix with my best friend, but by the time we were nearing the end of Season 2 I was anxious to find out what happens in Season 3, also known as Torchwood: Children of Earth.! In most cases I am not a fan of spin-off shows, or sequels, etc. but Torchwood is the exception. I really enjoyed Season 2 of Torchwood because of some of the recurring characters seen in Doctor Who, more specifically, Martha Jones. I felt like her role in Torchwood was redeemed and much more appreciated than it was in Doctor Who. There is also another episode where each character, including Jack's backstories are highlighted and it's really special to see. One thing I forgot to mention for Season 1 as well, are the Torchwood: Declassified and outtake scenes! Hilarious!Read full review
I like the characters very much and the picturesque monsters are scary and creepy. It is a very sad show with many misfortunes and deaths! Otherwise love it!

The second season had a better over-arching storyline that the first, if only because it now had a better idea of what it wanted to be when it grew up. :) We learn more about where Jack came from and made him the man the Doctor had first met. Gwen is more assured of her place in the team. Ianto is allowed to show more, if still reserved personality (he's allowed to have a sense of humor!). And best of all, we learn how the original four came to work for Torchwood, before PC Cooper discovered their existence.
I love Torchwood. The sound and picture quality are excellent. It is really great having the outtakes and gags along with the shows. They have some background of the actors and actress' also. If you love Torchwood, I highly recomend this set. Judy Baker
