Even though this is old technology, the condition in which this particular item showed up in was less than satisfactory. There were multiple dings and scratches on the housing and when I attempted to play a video tape, there was an annoying buzzing friction sound. The player works but the problems/defects it had were not mentioned up front in the product description. I would not have bought this had I known about it's substandard condition. This particular model however (when in good condition) is a good product.
